HOT PROCESS SOAP — When You Need Soap Faster

  2. Transfer the soap batter to a slow cooker set to LOW or a double boiler.
  3. Cook for 45–60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. The soap will go through phases — applesauce, then mashed potato texture. When it reaches a glossy, waxy consistency and tests pH neutral (7–9 on pH strips), it's done.
  4. Hot process soap is ready to use within 24 hours of unmolding. It's rougher in texture but functionally complete.
